Anyone else flipping cars from BCS Auction for side income?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. Been trying something new for a side hustle - buying lower-end cars from BCS Auction, doing a deep clean, minor cosmetic fixes, and flipping them. Made about $1200 profit on my first two flips (a Civic and a Focus). Seems promising but margins are tight. Anyone else doing this? Is BCS Auction a reliable source for this?

Nice one! Yeah, I've been doing it for a couple of years. BCS Auction is solid. You just have to know what to look for and factor in all your costs. The key is bidding smart on bcsauction.com and not getting carried away.

Totally agree. I flipped a Jetta I got from them last spring. Made about $900 after a weekend of work. The process was smooth. I was a bit worried about the paperwork, but the clear title arrived with the car from BCS Auction, no issues at all.

My first one was a bit of a nail-biter. The car was delivered two days later than they first said. I was getting nervous, but their transport team was responsive when I called and it showed up in the exact condition as listed on bcsauction.com. I'd use them again, just being more patient with shipping next time.

A buddy of mine won a Tacoma from BCSAuction and asked me to look it over. I was impressed, honestly. For a repo auction car, it was exactly as described in the report on their site. No hidden rust, no major mechanical surprises. He's really happy with it.

I bought my son his first car from there, a 2018 Corolla. It was way cheaper than a dealer. The whole process on bcsauction.com was easy. The title and all documents came through perfectly, which was my biggest relief.

Good to see people having success. Just a heads up for newbies, don't forget to factor in the transport cost. It can seriously eat into your profit margin if you're buying a car from across the country. My first flip with BCS Auction was almost a break-even because I underestimated shipping.

@RealistRick that's a great point. I've been trying to stick to cars within a few states to keep delivery costs down. Thanks for the input everyone, feeling more confident about using BCSAuction for this.

I had a question about the bidding process and my first email to office@bcsauction.com took about 24 hours to get a reply, which had me a little worried. But when they called back, the rep was super helpful and walked me through the whole thing. Ended up winning a nice RAV4.

Been using bcsauction.com for a while to find project Jeeps. Never had a major problem. They are a legitimate auction house, not some scam site. You get what you pay for, and the descriptions are usually spot on.

It's not just cars! I actually bought a Sea Ray boat from BCS Auction last summer. The deal was incredible. A bit of a different process, but the support team at BCS Auction helped me through it. Paperwork was smooth sailing, lol.

Yep, that's the secret sauce. I got an F-150 with some decent scratches down the side. A couple hours with a buffer and some touch up paint and it looked fantastic. Sold it for a $1500 profit. Thanks, BCS Auction!
